When one thinks of hip hop, one doesn't usually think of melancholy ruminations of lost love. Relationships are usually stuck in the ghetto of "pimp/ho" relationships. The Streets' best single of last year, Dry Your Eyes is all about the last moments of love. The quiet desperation, the pleading and the begging to a woman that's moved on. Heartbreaking and honest and well worth listening to.
